Lancashire Volunteer Partnership are recruiting volunteers in the PRESTON area for the Child & Youth Justice Service (CYJS). If you are aged 18 or above, want to help make a difference to children & their local community, and have some spare time to offer, we want to hear from you!
How do volunteers support the work of Lancashire CYJS?
Volunteers create a positive link between the community and the children who access CYJS services by assisting social workers and CYJS workers to help children aged 10 – 18 years, supporting them towards living a safe and crime-free life and make a positive contribution to society. Community referral order panels, allows children to recognise the consequences of their offending and to be accountable for their actions through a restorative approach. They help children to co-produce a contract specifying the support and activities they will take part in during their court order.
