
Charity Hub Volunteer – Royal Blackburn Hospital
As a charity hub volunteer, you’ll meet and greet customers and supporters, handle sales using the interactive till system, assist with stock rotation and pricing, and contribute ideas for new stock and ways to expand awareness, all while raising funds to support our local hospitals and NHS services – doing more for you, with you.

There are lots of other volunteer positions available with our local NHS hospitals charity including opportunity to be part of the events team, becoming a big bear called Elmore which is the charity’s mascot and more – fundraising is fun with this team!
Volunteers will be provided with a uniform consisting of a volunteer service t-shirt, this must be worn at all times while carrying out volunteering activity on behalf of the Trust.
This role requires a DBS
Tasks:
- Sell goods to public and staff
Required Qualities:
- Engaging and enthusiastic with an approachable manner
- Passion for charitable activity
- Ability to operate a till system once training is given
Training:
Everyone volunteering at the Trust must attend a volunteer induction and will be required to complete core mandatory training before carrying out any volunteering activity within the Trust and may be asked to regularly refresh training where required. All mandatory training will be provided free of charge to the volunteer. From time to time volunteers may be offered additional training opportunities related to their volunteering role, places will not be guaranteed and occasionally there may be a cost associated, this will be made clear to volunteers in advance.
Additional training will be provided by the Bereavement team.
