Beacon Fell Visitors Centre

Yippee! Spring is here, and those wide open spaces of outstanding natural beauty are great to visit, they’re also great places to volunteer and that’s why Lancashire Volunteer Partnership are currently seeking volunteers to help support at the Visitors Centre, Beacon Fell Country Park.

This role involves being the first point of contact for visitors in need of information, help and guidance in the Visitors Centre, so that they can make the most of their visit and have an even more enjoyable day out.  It’s a face-to-face role making it a great chance to meet people from near and far. The opportunity also requires some general duties i.e., keeping the Visitors centre tidy and managing displays.

Although full training will be provided, volunteers will need to be able to use their initiative and organise what needs to be done without supervision.

The Centre Volunteers are required Tuesday to Sunday. Each volunteering session is up to 3 hours, so either a morning or afternoon slot once a week. The hours are flexible with a scheduling system to ensure the centre is covered.
