Following our announcement that we are working with the NHS to support their Covid-19 mass and local vaccination programme across Lancashire and South Cumbria in December, we have been overwhelmed by the support and interest in volunteering, both from our existing and new volunteers.
As a result, we are currently processing over 850 applications and are working as quickly and efficiently as possible to get through them and progressed, however there will be delays due to the increasing volume. Our phone lines and emails enquires are also in high demand, so please bear with us if you’re waiting for a response. We may already have the answer within our FAQs.
In the meantime, it’s the perfect opportunity to steam through eleven modules of the e-learning required covering topics such as safeguarding, health and safety, mental health awareness and infection control prior to volunteering.
If you have applied or are considering applying, then you may be wondering where your local Covid-19 vaccination centre is? Not every area will have a vaccination centre, once your application has been progressed you will be able to see a variety of different 4-hour time slots to choose from across Lancashire/South Cumbria. There may not be one local to you, however new vaccination centres are coming on board regularly, so if there isn’t anything local to you now, just keep checking!
