Lancashire Constabulary

Lancashire Constabulary was founded in 1839 and covers an area of 1,189 square miles. The county has a population of nearly 1.5 million with a rich diversity of communities, all with specific policing needs.

They have over 3,000 Police Officers and over 2,500 Police Staff – of which 270+ are Police community support officers (PCSOs). Lancashire Volunteer Partnership (LVP) supports with the recruitment process of over 350 Special Constabulary Officers, Police Cadets and Community Volunteers i.e. Restorative Justice.

Their aim is to keep people safe and supported and be trusted to consistently deliver a competent and compassionate service. This is why we value their partnership because we also mirror their aims as a supported service.
