VITAL ENERGI https://www.vitalenergi.co.uk
As a business who cares deeply about our local community, we wanted to make a positive impact within the areas in which we work and in April 2024 we began our collaboration with Lancashire Volunteer Partnership.
Our energy generation projects deliver significant benefits by themselves, from combatting fuel poverty and lowering carbon emissions to improving air quality and reducing the energy spend of organisations such as schools, libraries, hospitals and universities by tens, hundreds and, in some instances, millions of pounds per year.
We wanted to go further and create more impactful social value through our business and people.
Just one of the ways we have done this was through our corporate volunteering days and partnering with Lancashire Volunteer Partnership combined our people with their knowledge and connections to ensure it was meaningful for the needs of our local community.
Our partnership with Lancashire Volunteering Partnership provided the opportunity to bring together our employees, our corporate volunteering time and our passion and support for International Women’s Day by bringing our teams of female employees to 3 of the local care homes, Woodside and Woodlands Home and Woodhaven Day Centre.
The enhancements Vital Energi provided to the care homes included improving the outdoor areas, painting, gardening, cleaning patios and tidying up. The impact this made to the outdoor spaces created a more welcoming and positive, quality environment for the residents and service users to enjoy. This allowed us to strengthen our passion and support for the local community and engage our people as part of International Women’s Day.
Internally the volunteering gave a sense of purpose and fulfilment for our employees, providing an opportunity to engage with people from across the business,
strengthening morale, positivity, communication and trust.
“ Absolutely loved that day! It was not only a fantastic opportunity to give back but also a great team building exercise for our Vital Energi family”
Cecile Parker, CFO Vital Energi
