Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) allows organisations or companies to make a contribution to the local community or environment in a variety of ways.
Some companies allow staff to volunteer 1-2 days per year, others sponsor events or donate equipment or items.
Here at Lancashire Volunteer Partnership, we have worked with companies and facilitated projects which have made such a difference to so many people. Our projects centre around Homes for Older People and Adult Disability Day Centres where companies have volunteered for 1-2 days and transformed garden areas.
CSR volunteering offers employees a chance to give back to their communities while fostering a sense of purpose and teamwork. By participating, employees not only contribute to the well-being of their communities but also develop valuable skills and strengthen their connection to their company. It’s a new and rewarding method of ‘Team Building Awaydays’.
Since late 2022 LVP have been working collaboratively with over 17 businesses completing 28 successful projects which incorporates improving outdoor spaces at various Care Homes and Day Centres.
