Wellbeing Walks Volunteer

What is re:fresh?

Our re:fresh team of Instructors are dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of the people living and working in our borough. We are committed to increasing physical activity in any shape or form, whether it’s through our Get Active community sessions designed for beginners, our Exercise Referral Programme for those living with long term conditions, our focus on Learning Disabilities & Autism sessions that encourage exercise and social interaction, or by our 16 week structured Falls Prevention Programme. We have something for everyone to encourage people to move more.

The Role – Wellbeing Walks Volunteer

Our wellbeing walks are a large part of our volunteer programme and offer a wide variety of options to explore our borough, whatever your ability. We have short, 30 minute health walks that are accessible for all as well as progression walks of up to 2 hours in length, plus a range of medium length walks set in the heart of communities. The aim is to offer something for all abilities and from a wide range of starting locations so that as many people as possible can access our walks. We are looking for motivated individuals to assist with some of our current walks or who would be looking to establish more community based walks either in their area or beyond. Here’s a link to our current Active Outdoors programme with all of our walks listed – https://refreshbwd.com/active/stay-active-outdoors/
