If your answer is yes, then this is the opportunity for you.

You will not be alone but you must be able to function quickly using your own initiative to help process the many items saved from the waste stream and stored at the Hub.  You will be saving , sorting, and recycling, items that will make a huge difference to people.

Times: either Wednesday or Thursdays,  mornings 09:00am – 12:00noon or afternoons 13:00pm – 16:00pm slots.

Tasks:

  • Assisting with the collections of reusable items from Household Waste Recycling Centre
  • Checking the suitability of all items segregated for Reuse and whether they comply with Health and Safety requirements and Trading Standard regulations
  • Preparing items for Reuse via activities such as cleaning, sorting, and repairing
  • Cataloguing and photographing reusable items before uploading them to the Reuse360 Hub website
  • Preparing orders for collection and/or delivery.

Required Qualities:

  • Self-motivated, able to support role unassisted using own initiative and decision making skills.
  • Have a positive, can do attitude.
  • Able to listen and take instruction.
  • Able to be a team player, supporting others if required.
  • Be relatively fit and active.
  • Have practical, problem solving skills.
  • Creative skills are welcome but not essential.
  • Computer and IT skills are welcome but not essential.

Training:

Volunteers are required to complete training courses before commencing any volunteering and to renew their training as and when required.
