Befriending Support at Milbanke Home for Older People
Befriending Volunteers are required at Milbanke Residential care home. As a Befriending volunteer you would help to positively engage those at the home by taking the time to sit and chat with the service user who would benefit from having that 121 interaction.
The benefit of having a regular meeting with a befriender helps to increase the confidence, resilience and independence of the service user. Befrienders actively support, encourage and empower them to achieve specified and agreed goals and objectives.
