Crook of Lune Countryside Support
We are recruiting volunteers to support at the Crook of Lune Countryside site.
Volunteers play a vital part in keeping the county’s country parks, picnic sites, nature reserves and community woodlands looking their best. Under guidance from the Countryside Service, volunteers carry out small maintenance tasks such as planting and pruning, fixing fences, gates, or signs, litter picking, and visitor guidance and information, volunteers not only have the satisfaction of seeing how their volunteering benefits the sites, but also the positive impact on the wider community who enjoy visiting them.
As a Lancashire Volunteer Partnership Volunteer, you’ll only be required to do as little as up to 3 hours weekly, there’s no pressure to commit lots of your time. We encourage local support as Countryside volunteers are usually people who live close to and visit their nearest site very frequently, and have a sense of pride and ownership towards it, which is why they want to do their bit to keep it looking good.
