Lancashire libraries are described as safe spaces and community hubs, offering a range of activities to tackle social isolation.  However, some members of the community are unable to access their local library and really value the Home Library Service offer.

Why Home Library Service Volunteers Are Needed

  • Volunteers must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle

This volunteering role is subject to a DBS check. To qualify you must have been a resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

    • Applicants must be willing to go through an induction process with relevant background checks and an enhanced DBS check (This will be done free of charge)
