At its heart Lancashire Volunteer Partnership is about volunteers, alongside public services, supporting those in need.
In times of civil emergency such as flooding, power cuts, fires or other major incidents Lancashire Volunteer Partnership can be called upon to provide volunteers to assist the agencies involved. This might be providing support at local rest centres, providing evacuation assistance or simply provided comfort to those displaced.
Our Emergency Response Volunteers are already volunteering with the partnership in other roles but have agreed to be called out at time of need.
We are not an immediate response agency but we can assist when incidents become protracted and drawn out.
Our staff and volunteers wear highly visible tabards and can be deployed in a range of scenarios.
The process of calling LVP out in these circumstances is part of a larger contingency plan and will require one of the following incident managers to make a risk assessment before contacting us;
