
Cycle Centre Support – Witton Park Cycle Centre
We are looking for volunteers to help support our cycling provisions in BwD as part of a dedicated Cycling Centre, based down at Witton Park. Our centre can offer led rides, cycle training to all ages and even bespoke courses to suit the needs of all those concerned.
As part of our cycling team, you will also join our wider service of re:fresh, a service that offers the people of Blackburn with Darwen the opportunity to access a huge range of leisure, health and well-being activities, sports activities, health and dietary advice plus much more.

Role overview:
To support the day-to-day operations/maintenance of the cycle centre or offer support for cycling sessions.
Tasks:
- To support the session leader to deliver the session
- To offer individual support to anyone who needs it
- To offer basic adjustments to clients cycles
- To assign appropriate bikes to clients upon arrival
- To support the maintenance of the cycle centre
Required Qualities:
- A competent cyclist
- Enthusiastic & motivated
- Good communication skills
- Reliable & trustworthy
- Friendly & approachable manner
- Have the physical capability to participate in the session

- Infection and Prevention Awareness for Front Line Staff
- Emergency First Aid at Work
- Health & Safety
- Ride Leadership Award Level 1 (potential for further training)
- Volunteer Learning Passport
- Bike Maintenance Workshop
