Complaint Resolution Facilitator

Could you assist our Professional Standards Department by giving support and practical help to dissatisfied members of the public who have contacted the team?

The role will assist the team in early resolution of complaints from dissatisfied members of the public and agree the course of action that is suitable for them.

The role will be based at Police Headquarters in Hutton, Preston

This role is subject to police vetting.

Tasks:

  • To be tasked by PSD to assist in early resolution of complaints from dissatisfied members of the public and agree the course of action
  • Access any necessary safeguarding for the complainant
  • Clearly explain the complaints procedure for Lancashire Constabulary
  • Keep the complainant fully updated at all times

Required Qualities:

  • Be able to deal with difficult situations in a professional manner
  • Have an understanding of conflict management and resolution
  • Understand members of the public expectations
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative

Training:

Volunteers will be required to undertake relevant training.

Required Age:

18 years +
