National Volunteers’ Week takes place every year between 1-7 June and is an opportunity for Lancashire Volunteer Partnership (LVP) to thank our incredible volunteers across public services in Lancashire.
A global pandemic may have changed how we’ve operated over the last few years, but that did not stop people from all walks of life around Lancashire taking time to volunteer and making a huge difference to people and their communities.
From our Community Support Befrienders supporting vulnerable and isolated people through our Telephone Befriending service, to our Covid Vaccination Centre Marshals who supported the NHS run vaccine programme across Lancashire and South Cumbria, plus so many more.
Our volunteers have been at the heart of the pandemic response process and this is why we feel that it’s so important to acknowledge and celebrate the endless contributions they provide.
We’ve got a calendar of activities and events going on for Volunteers’ Week 2022, so we’d love for you to get involved! To join in the celebrations, keep up to date with what’s going on by following our social media channels below, or take a look at our timetable of events here.
